ReLife Electronics – A New Life for Your Electronics
ReLife Electronics is an initiative by BrainGreen Foundation aimed at solving two significant challenges: the growing volume of electronic waste and the lack of access to essential devices for people in need. The project focuses on collecting unused electronic equipment stored in homes, basements, or offices, repairing it, and providing fully functional devices to those who need them most.

Our work is based on three pillars:
Collecting equipment
We accept laptops, smartphones, desktop computers, tablets, and household appliances that are unused, damaged, or simply no longer needed. With your support, we can transform these items into tools for education, work, or daily life improvement.
Renovation and repair
In our workshop, skilled technicians and volunteers diagnose and service the equipment. We repair what can be fixed and repurpose usable parts from damaged devices to refurbish others. We ensure that every device meets high standards of functionality.
Distributing devices
Refurbished equipment is delivered to specific individuals and institutions: children needing computers for school, families in financial hardship, job seekers, and orphanages. We support those who cannot afford new electronics while reducing global waste.

E-waste is one of the fastest-growing environmental challenges in the world. Each year, we produce over 53 million tons of electronic waste, with only a small fraction properly recycled or reused. ReLife Electronics was created to change these statistics and implement real solutions that benefit both people and the planet.
Why Do We Do This?
According to the United Nations, an estimated 50 million tons of electronic and electrical waste are generated worldwide each year. Within the European Union alone, nearly 9.5 million tons of e-waste are produced annually.
Unfortunately, a significant portion of this waste is exported to developing countries, including many in Africa. These regions often lack the infrastructure and technology needed to process and recycle electronic waste safely and effectively. This situation not only harms the environment but also poses serious health risks to local communities.
It’s important to note that precise data on e-waste exports is difficult to obtain due to a lack of transparency and the prevalence of illegal trade, which exacerbates the scale of the issue.
